Being out in the Aussie heat is tough enough, then throw in having to do manual work and it's a recipe for a sweat-fest! Here's a quick guide on things to consider when buying workwear if you work in hot temperatures.
1. Choose Lightweight Fabrics
Lightweight and breathable materials allow air to circulate, helping you remove body heat. Our cotton tees are breathable but won't compromise on durability.
2. Pick Light Colours
Whilst dark colours absorb heat, lighter coloured workwear (such as whites, greys or yellows) reflect sunlight. This simple trick can help heaps if you're working outside in direct sunlight. Our pink Statement Tee is great for avoiding overheating!
3. Grab Moisture-Wicking Items
Some bits just get sweaty (yes, we're talking about downstairs). So materials that have moisture-wicking abilities will help pull sweat away from your skin which helps keep you cool. Our Nut Sack bamboo undies are breathable, moisture-wicking and freakin' comfy!
4. Don't Forget Sun Protection
Avoid those dangerous UV rays by simply covering up - ideally with clothing with a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating. Up top, a hat or cap will go a long way in keeping the sun off your face or neck - just like our Rottie Cap.
5. Stay Hydrated
Even the best workwear won’t replace the importance of staying hydrated and taking regular breaks. So drink plenty of fluids and look to replace lost electrolytes with something like Thorzt's electrolyte sachets.
